Aviation Institute of Maintenance is the largest network of FAA-approved Part 147 aircraft-maintenance schools in the United States, training roughly a quarter of all newly licensed A&P mechanics nationwide. The system traces its roots to 1969 in Norfolk, Virginia, and today operates 15 campuses from Atlanta to Las Vegas, with the newest opening in 2025 near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
