Bentley is bringing serious excitement back to its lineup with the return of the Supersports name in 2026. This new model proves the brand hasn’t gone soft at all. In fact, Bentley seems more committed than ever to building a car for people who truly love to drive. With rear-wheel drive, a powerful V-8 engine, and major weight savings, the new Supersports is made for pure fun, and it looks incredible doing it.
A Sharper, Meaner Look
The 2026 Supersports is based on the already beautiful Continental GT, but Bentley has turned the aggression up several notches. It features the largest front splitter ever fitted to a Bentley production car, which is positioned under a redesigned front bumper. Above it is a new mesh grille made specifically for the Supersports, and on both sides of the bumper are dual stacked dive planes that help channel air around the car.
The back of the car gets just as much attention. There’s a redesigned rear diffuser and a fixed one-piece rear spoiler mounted on the trunk lid. Supersport decals run along the sides, and the 22-inch forged wheels are available in black or black with a silver accent. Buyers can choose standard Pirelli P-Zero tires or upgrade to the more aggressive Trofeo RS option. See more photos

A Powerful V-8 With a Real Voice
Under the hood sits a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 that makes 657 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Bentley achieved these numbers by adding bigger turbos, a stronger crankcase, and improved cylinder heads. The exhaust system is made from titanium and developed with Akrapovic, ensuring the engine sounds just as good as it performs. Bentley also made it clear, there is absolutely no fake sound added inside the cabin. What you hear is real.
The engine is paired with a sharpened eight-speed dual-clutch transmission from ZF. With everything working together, the Supersports can go from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of around 192 mph.
Braking power comes from massive 10-piston front calipers gripping 17.3-inch carbon-silicon-carbide discs, the same size used on the Lamborghini Urus.
The First Rear-Wheel-Drive Continental GT Ever
The biggest headline of all: this is the first rear-wheel-drive production Continental GT in Bentley’s history. Engineers widened the rear track by 16 mm and added an electronic limited-slip differential with torque vectoring. The car also features rear-wheel steering to keep it stable, yet Bentley says it can be easily pushed into controllable oversteer. In simple terms, drivers can have real sideways fun.
Two Seats, Lightweight Cabin, Driver-Focused
Inside, the Supersports is all about the driver. Bentley removed the rear seats entirely, making this a strict two-seater. The front seats are lightweight sports seats placed lower in the car, making the driver feel more connected to the road. They still offer 11-way electric adjustment and are heated, proving Bentley didn’t forget about comfort.
The interior is finished with carbon fiber, leather, Dinamica fabric, and Supersports-specific badges and stitching. As always, Bentley buyers will have endless options for colors and materials through the brand’s customization catalog.
Shedding Serious Weight
Bentleys are known for luxury and power, not lightness, but that changes here. By removing the hybrid system, ditching all-wheel drive, installing a carbon-fiber roof, deleting the back seats, and making other reductions, the Supersports weighs under two tons. Bentley says it is nearly 1,000 pounds lighter than a standard Continental GT, which is a huge difference in performance.
A Name With History
The Supersports name dates back to 1925, when Bentley built only 18 examples of the original 3 Litre Super Sports. The name returned in 2009 for the first Continental GT Supersports and appeared again in 2017 on the second-generation model, powered by a twin-turbo W12. Like those versions, the 2026 model will be built in limited numbers.
Limited to 500 Units
Only 500 units of the 2026 Bentley Supersports will be produced. Orders open in March 2026, with production beginning in late 2026. Deliveries are expected to start in early 2027.
As for the price, Bentley hasn’t shared it yet, but expect a number that matches its exclusivity.
